I think that if one doesn't feel happy writing, one should stop doing it immediately. Writer's block comes up when one's been doing the same thing (even writing) for a long time. Or when one's tired and stressed because of the job. Not everybody's lucky enough to live on its writings. For me free writing works well when I feel in the mood of writing, but I don't know what to write about.

Dear a.i. abassi,

Thanks for your feedback. I have a 21-year-old daughter so I do know what you're saying. But I also think it's a matter of how much the person really wants to write, regardless of age.

The Fertile Material writing prompts are designed to be fun, which is why this method can appeal to all ages.

Free Samples of the Fertile Material

I've had writing circle members of all ages, including a brother (9) and sister (12). I currenly have a 16-year-old in my Bulverde, Texas group and a 19-year-old in my Boerne, TX group. While visiting his dad from South Africa, a 21-year-old arts student temporarily joined my Santa Fe group and enjoyed it very much.

Note: For those who just got here, I.A. Abassi is referring to a question he had on an outside blog about the possibility of a free copy of Fear of Writing. I responded with this link to my Website, where you can qualify to get three free books to start a writing circle in your local area:

Writing Circles - Start Your Own With Three Free Books

Best Wishes - Milli

Well, I believe that writing circles are only applicable for old people. I am in my 21st year, and people of my age cant get benefited from such type of activities as they will never take that in a serious mood. I hope you understand my point.
