If you’d like to join us for one or both of this month’s 10K Days—Wednesday, Aug 17 or Saturday the 20th—you can start here by posting your RSVP in the comments section below.

Please specify which day(s) you’ll be attending.

Next step is to prepare yourself ahead of time so you’ll have the best experience possible. Click on 10K DAYS in the menu above and you’ll find more info.

To participate, return to the HOME PAGE of this blog on the morning of your chosen 10K Day. (Each writer determines his/her own start time.) You’ll find a special post called 10K Day: Live While It’s Happening! and that’s where you’ll be posting your check-ins.

The Live, While It’s Happening! post will give you pointers on what to post for your check-ins.

    Count me in for the 17th! :D I’ve done NOTHING on my Camp Nanowrimo book, and I need to get my butt in gear if I want to catch up. ;)

        Looks like I can make it tomorrow Milli, and will only be able to do a short one on Saturday because of work. Bit nervous about this, but excited as well!

            No worries, Jo. Posting on the wrong thread will simply introduce you to Lois, one of our 10K Day veterans. I know Lois won’t mind at all. :)

            That’s good news that you can make it tomorrow. And some nerves are understandable the first time – we’ve all had those. But you’ll find the company reassuring. See you then!

        I’m here, albeit pretty late. I got up late (Jeff’s working nights this week), and I had to do a few things first. But now that I’m here, I can begin! :D

    Yay! Count me in.
    I’m aiming for both August 17th and 20th, but in case it doesn’t work out, either one of these will be fine too – I really need the commitment to a full day of writing right about now! :)

    I am in for the 17th as well!!
    The only other thing I’ll have to do is to pack, as we’ll be leaving for a week in Switzerland the next day… So I’ll hope I’ll get lots of writing done this time!! Yay!

    Good morning all!

    Looks like there are lots of new people this time ’round. Very cool! :) I’m looking forward to hanging out with everyone.

    I plan to participate today and Saturday, if all goes well, though neither will be on a full-day basis. It’s the first of the school year and I have tons of paperwork to take care of for my son’s school as well as insurance and docs. yay ;)

    What will I work on? I have a blog post to draft (already have the pics picked out) and I’d like to continue working on my Camp NaNo story. So there’s plenty to do. Hope everyone has a good time and write on!

    *Starting the day with a cup of cappuccino, the sound of a fan spinning and surrounded by the cats. (yes, I’m a crazy cat lady :) ) I will be using my timer as well to help keep me focused.

      Terrific updates so far. :)

      This is actually the RSVP page, and I would hate for you to be alone all day. If you go to the Home page you’ll see the “Live While It’s Happening” post. You can copy and paste your updates onto that page and then you’ll be in the fray with everybody else.
