This is not a dry legal document. This is mandatory reading because it’s so important. We’ve made the font bigger so you can see there are no hidden catches.
When you tell us you want to sign up, we DON'T take it for granted that you really want to do this course. Some people try to sign up for these kinds of things without making the proper commitment to themselves beforehand. So we don't leave this one to chance. We go to lengths to ensure that
(1) this course is right for you and
(2) you're being true to yourself.
We provide plenty of information on the enrollment page about what this course involves, as well as the free phone consultation where you can have all your questions satisfied.
The enrollment procedure itself (with five steps to complete) is designed to weed out people who might be tempted to flake out on themselves at some point. You'll notice (in Part B of what you need to do next) that we even make you write something as part of the enrollment. As one applicant correctly pointed out, the letter of application is a test of commitment as well as a small writing assignment in itself.
Within the course, we provide the opportunity for you to have fun and liberate yourself creatively in an extremely supportive environment. As the same applicant said during her third week as a student: “The commitment you revealed on the phone was just the tip of the iceberg for all of the support you provide.”
Therefore, we do not provide refunds to people who are not making the effort to do the writing. Nor do we provide refunds to people who are allowing their fear of writing to get the better of them. If you're ever going to recover from your fear of writing, you have to make the effort. We've done a million things to make this fun and creative for you. But you have to make the effort.
Friendly Hint:
It’s not hard—we’ve set it up with plenty of baby steps and very doable milestones.
We also ask that you do not sign up right before (or while) some big event is taking place in your life, such as
Going on a trip
Starting a new job
Moving your home or office
Serious illness in the family
A surgical procedure that you've already scheduled
Etc.
We've seen people do this enough times that we can't help but wonder if they’re trying to sabotage their own chances for success. So, please, if this sounds like you, sign up for the reminder mailing list and come back to enroll after your important life event is over.
Refunds will only be provided in extreme cases, such as prolonged illness where it becomes apparent that the student will not be able to finish the course. So, examine your heart first. We're not here to take your money just to get another enrollment. Doing the paperwork for someone who's going to flake out later is not our martyr trip anymore.
We got over trying to help everyone. Now we only want to help those who are ready to help themselves.
When you're ready, close this window and you'll be back on the enrollment page where you can take the next step. Look for “What to Do Next - Part B” in large blue font.

“I can't tell you how happy I am that I took the course. As I told you during our phone interview, I was a little wary about joining an online venture, but I figured, 'What's the worst that can happen?' Maybe I won't get the kind of one-on-one feedback that I would like, but at least I will be writing. I would never have predicted how awesome I would feel about myself, and what a great little life jump-start I would be getting. The commitment you revealed on the phone was just the tip of the iceberg for all of the support you provide.”
